I just want a normal adolescence. You know, friends, and a sturdy boyfriend who keeps me sane, and a good family, living in a nice neighborhood, good grades, not too skinny or too fat, and a few skills in different things. I've tried, but it never really works out. It bores me. My childhood has been so full of wonders, of places and flavors, trees and people and colors and skyscrapers that now, well, it gets grey. I want to travel endlessly again. I want to meet new people and new places like I always did. You know, almost every weekend my parents would take me somewhere new in Boston. It was amazing, it really was; a concert next to the Charles River, downtown to see a movie, the Museum of Science, the State House, the Old Corner Book Store, Chinatown, perhaps, to eat some Chicken Teriyaki? I want messes again, noises and music and big, lovely messes, I love mess. Chaos, but not harmful chaos; I mean Hofmann-like, Mahler-like chaos. I want to see Waterhouse paintings in museums again, I want to play concerts and compose lullabies for my lover, I want to see new beauties, see different cultures, try different foods. I want to make love again and again and again and then write short stories about it. I want to see an Aurora Austrealis and take pictures and I want to sleep in a cabin docked up in snow. I want to swim in warm waters and hike up mountains to see what's on the other side. I want to hear real chacarreras and sail to Brazilian coastal islands and hear ethereal women in long skirts and big necklaces sing with their soothing voices a croon by Veloso. Visit Mexican deserts and their cerulean beaches. Go up Tican tropical forests, amazed by lush flowers and opulent trees.
