How I miss those times.
I came from the parties, in stale smoke and peaceful murmurs, and I looked up, when I haven't look up in months, strange for me, because I always seemed to gaze at the sky for hours and hours. But after many long months, I looked at the stars again. Sirius, Canopus, and small little stars near the crescent moon, yellowing in the midnight, waning its way towards the hills. And I remembered.
When I was young and with the ache of unrequited love in my soul, but I was so happy. The corners of my smile where marked permanently in my face as I roamed the streets with people much, much older than me, in those summer nights and city lights, rough guitars and bearded faces, and a very tanned one which I haven't seen in a while, but I still consider her as my big sister. Bars and bands and late night talks and laughing as the smell of beer aroused my lips and smoke weaved its way towards my nose, I was blinded by their brightness, by the freedom, by the night sky. And then, those many days where we walked free through those same streets with daylight in our skin, acoustics in hand and my voice was still innocent, jumping from place to place, wherever life took us. Times when I read the Lord of the Rings like my Bible, and Led Zeppelin, my Jesus. I miss the heartache. The freedom. The lights, the cozy winters, the dreamy springs, the lonely autumns. I miss my sister. I miss my friends, I miss the summer stars, the thrills at the touch of his hands, at the catches of his eyes, how I miss the stars, those lovely, lovely stars...
